Educated at the University of the Technology in Otaniemi (technology of graphic arts) and University of Art and Design in Helsinki (graphic design). In nineties she interests in ceramics. Studies at the Finnish Ceramic School in Posio and continues her ceramic studies at the National Institute of Art and Ceramicsin Faenza, Italy. Since 1997 lives in Tolfa (Italy) where she works in the craft studio of ceramic and iron ”Laboratorioboschivo”. Produces functional wares and unic objects in porcelain and stoneware. From 2016 fires her ceramics in wood firing. Besides her activity as ceramist she also keeps ceramic courses, organizes international workshops and events. Her aim is to create a network especially between ceramists from Finland, Norway and Italy.Since 2000 is member of Finnish association for Art and Design ORNAMO.

When she started to woodfire her works two years ago, her approach to the ceramic expression has changed from the clean, stiff slipcasted objects towards more organic forms. Before she was oriantated to the function but now her works have sculptural aspect even if they migth have a form of a vase. She coilbuilds vases and boatforms which are glazed only inside so that during the firing outside gets flashes from fire and ashes. Her vessels have natural, warm aspect. Japanese cearmic has inspired her since she was studying ceramics in Faenza(Italy) where she got her first contacts to Japanese ceramists. She discovered many common aspects between Japanese and Finnish: a sense of rigour, importance of nature, shy and inward character of the people. Wood firing and a visit to the ancient cearmic sites in Japan 2018 have had a deep impact to her recent works.

She has partecipted number of exhibitions in Finland, Italy, Norway, Austria, United States, Japan, Taiwan and Spain.
